lucca today

into lucca today,dropped car off alas,then taxi to bus  stn in siena,caught slow bus muliple stops but only 1  1/2 hr or less to firenze.Owners of lucca appt had said trains on strike but they were running without ticket sellers though auto machines working,aided by  a helpful stn attendant.Caught train to lucca ,kids a bit intimitated by stn,though was hardly busy at all.2nd class train 1 1/2 hr trip 20 oz all together.Few hiccups with long stops due to sinals,past muliple small fields of produce and tree nurseries-so much propagation and culivation.views of snow capped hills to north.just back from dinner ac ragu= bog,tp ravioli with cheese and me meat,few issues with manners in restaurant -ac as you know hates criticism even if construcive,lucca very captivating,in middle of  old city in gorgeous huge appt run by australian couple.market am and more exploring,plan to ride the 4km ramparts later in day.booked an extra night to see neil @vic 2 nights
