day at volterra and siena
Had a day visitingVolterra another hilltop village with great views.Anas tolerance of windy roads so much better now especially since we bought Black eyed peas to listen to.Bought some small prints from Susannah-views of Siena and season changes.Tom tom still a major distraction especially finding parking in Siena.Back there for shop,pinocchio keyrings for friends,an alabaster elephant for apples the elephant collector,plus other bits.More gelati and pizza then back for pesto,great pesto from local supermarket,along with panacotta,anchovies in oil and basil,salami and some more nutella,fresh peas and plums.Planning on risotto at home .Tomorrow San Giamagno then back to Siena.Climbed the Torre today great views and then visied the palace ,beautiful frescoes 14 th century .Kids appreciating beauty of it all ,tempered by their desire to shop!!!!!

today i look at these photos and I have a deep ache in my heart. Wonder what the breeze feels like on your face, how the smells tempt your taste buds and the warmth of Spring sunshine kisses your faces.
ReplyDeleteToday a chilly wind warning, a patient even suggested it was forecast to blow up to 120kms/hr. That will get the washing dry!!!
